Marie joined Ramsey Crookall & Co. in 1987. She has gained a wide range of experience over the years by working in most of the Firm's departments, including settlements and accounts, having initially joined as a receptionist.

Marie was born in Manchester and educated on the Isle of Man. She is a dedicated and successful sports woman. Marie was Britain's leading female road cyclist in the 1990's, representing Great Britain in the Barcelona and Atlanta Olympic Games and the Isle of Man in the New Zealand and Canada Commonwealth Games. She was the first female British cyclist to win a stage in the Women's Tour de France. Upon retiring from cycling she went on to win a gold medal in the Inter-Island Games in 2001 in the half marathon.

Marie joined the Securities & Investment Institute as an Associate Member in 1999 and was elected to membership in 2005.
