The Role


The HR Manager will be the trusted adviser to the leadership team and employees across the business. You will be the central point of connection between people, managers and leadership helping to resolve challenges, strengthen relationships and ensure our culture continues to evolve positively.


This role is about much more than policies and processes. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, understands personalities, communicates with empathy and confidence, and can balance the needs of individuals with the wider objectives of the business.


You will play a key role in recruiting outstanding talent, developing future leaders, supporting succession planning and ensuring Ramsey Crookall remains a place where people choose to build long-term careers.



Key Responsibilities


People & Culture


· Champion a positive, collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.

· Build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.

· Act as a confidential sounding board for managers and employees.

· Foster employee engagement and wellbeing.

· Help maintain a culture of accountability, respect and high performance.



Employee Relations


· Provide pragmatic, commercially minded HR advice to managers.

· Manage sensitive employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion and diplomacy.

· Mediate workplace issues and help resolve conflict constructively.

· Coach managers in handling performance, conduct and people challenges.

· Ensure employment matters are handled fairly and consistently.



Recruitment & Talent


· Lead recruitment across all business areas.

· Develop innovative approaches to attracting high-quality candidates.

· Deliver an exceptional candidate experience.

· Support managers through interviewing and selection.

· Build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.



Succession Planning & Development


· Identify future talent and leadership potential across the business.

· Develop succession plans for key roles.

· Work with managers to create meaningful development opportunities.

· Support learning, coaching and professional development initiatives.

· Help employees achieve their career aspirations within the organisation.



Leadership Support


· Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on people strategy.

· Provide insight into organisational capability and workforce planning.

· Support organisational change initiatives.

· Use people data and feedback to recommend improvements.



HR Operations & Compliance


· Maintain HR policies and procedures.

· Ensure compliance with Isle of Man employment legislation and regulatory requirements.

· Oversee performance review processes.

· Manage HR systems and employee records.

· Support payroll and benefits administration as required.



Skills & Experience


Essential:


· Previous experience in a senior HR generalist or HR Manager role.

· Strong employee relations experience.

· Excellent recruitment and interviewing skills.

· Experience developing talent and succession plans.

· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

· High levels of emotional intelligence.

· Strong mediation and conflict resolution skills.

· Commercial awareness and sound judgement.

· Ability to build credibility with employees and senior leaders alike.

· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.


Desirable:


· Relevant HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent).

· Experience within professional or financial services.

· Knowledge of Isle of Man and UK employment legislation.
