Ramsey Crookall marks the charitable legacy of its 80th Anniversary Pilates World Record event with £1,000 for each of 22 local charities
Ramsey Crookall is delighted to announce that 22 Isle of Man charities will each receive £1,000 following the Pilates World Record Attempt and Wellness Festival held at Knockaloe on 19 July 2026.
The event, organised as part of Ramsey Crookall's 80th anniversary celebrations in collaboration with 34Moves and Visit Isle of Man, brought 2,804 people together on the day for a memorable celebration of movement, wellbeing, community and the Isle of Man.
The event also demonstrated its ability to attract visitors to the Island. Approximately 20% of those attending, equivalent to around 560 people, were visitors from off-Island, providing a welcome boost to tourism and helping showcase the Isle of Man, its history and its unique connection with Pilates to a wider audience.
Most importantly, the event created a lasting charitable legacy.
A total of £21,289.12 was raised through event registration fees and the raffle held on the day. Ramsey Crookall is ensuring that each of the 22 participating charities receives £1,000, representing £22,000 of direct support for local charitable organisations.

15. The Children's Centre
16. Crossroads Isle of Man
17. Manx Wildlife Trust
18. Diana Princess of Wales Hospice Care at Home Trust
19. Mannin Cancer Support Group
20. Manx Mencap
21. Isle Stand Up to Suicide
22. Manx Breast Cancer Support Group
The occasion also saw the Island achieve a World Record, adding another chapter to an extraordinary event at a location with a unique connection to the history of Pilates.
While the World Record achievement created a moment that will be remembered long beyond the event itself, Ramsey Crookall believes its most important legacy is the benefit the day will now provide to organisations working throughout the Manx community.
Joanna Crookall, CEO of Ramsey Crookall, said: "Our 80th anniversary gave me an opportunity to do something genuinely special for the Isle of Man. The event at Knockaloe brought 2,804 people together, celebrated an extraordinary part of our Island's history and ultimately resulted in a World Record achievement.
"It was also fantastic to welcome so many visitors from outside the Island. Having around one in five attendees come from off-Island demonstrates the potential for events rooted in our unique history and identity to attract new audiences and support the Island's visitor economy.
"From the beginning, I wanted the event to make a meaningful contribution to the community that Ramsey Crookall has been proud to call home for the past 80 years.
"We are therefore delighted that 22 local charities will each receive £1,000. These organisations make an enormous difference to people across the Island every day, and we hope this funding will help them continue that invaluable work.
"My sincere thanks go to every person who attended, volunteered, donated, bought a raffle ticket, worked at the event or helped make the day possible. This is something the whole Island can be proud of."
The Wellness Festival & Charity Village was an integral part of the event, giving local charitable organisations an opportunity to engage directly with those attending Knockaloe and raise awareness of the services, support and initiatives they provide throughout the Isle of Man.
From the outset, the event was also designed to showcase the Isle of Man as a destination, bringing together its history, community and connection with Pilates. The strong level of off-Island attendance further highlighted the potential for distinctive events of this kind to support tourism and raise the Island's profile internationally.
The event formed part of Ramsey Crookall's celebrations marking 80 years in business on the Isle of Man, reflecting the firm's longstanding relationship with the Manx community.
From a World Record gathering of 2,804 people at Knockaloe to tangible support for 22 local organisations, the legacy of the event continues well beyond 19 July.
